Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classical Boleros from the past along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves Tangos. She also loves operas as well as any drama. Her mother teaches her how to sing. However, she started more intense vocal training through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
